Membership categories
Full Member
Medical practitioners actively involved in breast healthcare.
Full Members are entitled to participate in society activities, vote at the Annual General Meeting and stand for elected office in accordance with the BIGOSA Constitution.
Associate Member
Healthcare professionals involved in breast healthcare, including nurses, radiographers and allied healthcare professionals.
Associate Members participate fully in educational activities and society events but do not hold voting rights.
Honorary Membership
Honorary Membership may be awarded by the Executive Committee in recognition of distinguished service or significant contribution to breast healthcare or to BIGOSA.
Membership & registrations
BIGOSA membership is currently conferred through registration for the Annual Scientific Meeting.
Congress registration includes annual membership, providing access to the scientific programme together with participation in the broader BIGOSA professional community.
Membership is renewed annually through congress registration and provides an opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of breast healthcare across Southern Africa.
As the organisation continues to grow, membership structures and benefits will continue to evolve in support of the society’s long-term objectives.
Membership fees
As BIGOSA continues to grow and formalise its structures, the membership fee model is reviewed annually by the Executive Committee. Current registration fees are set out below.
All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). Members based outside South Africa are warmly encouraged to register – please contact the Secretary to discuss registration and payment arrangements suited to your location.
